Getting Your Baby To Nap

If your baby is not sleeping well during the first months of life, you can try to reduce the time she wakes up in increments of 15 minutes. If it gets too stimulated, then they fight sleep and be difficult to get a nap. The way around this is to see his "dream" for clues to make sure her down when she starts to feel sleepy.

Some parents believe that leaving your child cry will harm. Fifteen or twenty minutes of crying will not hurt your child physically or mentally. Babies learn to self-soothe and fall asleep by themselves, but only if you let it. It is very important that babies learn to sleep by themselves so they can self-soothe, if they wake up in the middle of the night. Otherwise, you can have a child who sleeps through the night for years.

regular sleep habits are intertwined with regular eating habits, look at the life stages of a baby:

Newborn: Your newborn sleep anywhere from 16 to 20 hours daily, including PAN it between feedings. Once your baby has been fed, let him stay awake for a short period and then dropped before he becomes overstimulated.

Two months: At two months more, your child should be allowed to try to relieve themselves during their naps and bedtime. Crying is normal when you put your baby down, but that's okay. If he cries for more than 10-15 minutes, then go check it out. Do not get up, but pat his bottom or lightly rub his back until he calms down.

3-6 months: Around 3-6 months, your baby will stop taking one of his naps. Usually the third or nap after nap, do not need much. It can be difficult and may want to take a nap, but you should try to keep up if you want to go to bed at a decent hour and sleep well at night.

16 + months: When your child is between 16 to 20 months, often stop taking the morning nap in favor of a longer nap in the afternoon. Babies this age usually sleep between 10-12 hours a night and a nap in the afternoon 02.03 hours.

Basic rules of naps:

1. You decide when the nap starts and ends, and the child.

2. When your child is over 4 months, she will wake up crying if she has not slept enough. It may have a dirty diaper, be in a position that is not comfortable, or cold / hot. Solve the problem and invite him to sleep. Babies that have enough rest after up happy, talking and in good mood!
